Can I help you? :)

Claire was having too much fun with her doodle pro (thanks Papa and Joy! :) ) this afternoon. Mike and I were in the guest room and walked into the living room to find Claire doodling away. She gave us this look like, "um, is there something I can help you with?" She was so cute with her sunglasses on . . . what a Diva!

We went to Church this morning and Claire was very well behaved. Afterward, we went to Jason's Deli for lunch, she got a little ice cream as a reward. Then we came home and spent the day relaxing like every Sunday should!

It has been a while . . .

This is a BEFORE picture of our guest bathroom. (I posted it so that you can take note of the cabinets and seashell sink that also existed in our master bath)

BEFORE
AFTER

We have been busy at the house, but have been having a great time. We had a Superbowl party a few weeks ago that was a blast, and recently had family in town. Mikey took his vacation and we were able to spend some much needed family time, alone time, and "home makeover" time together. Our "Budget Bathroom" makeover has turned out to be a success. It really does take a village . . . we appreciate everyone's help. I thought a I had a good before picture but turns out our famous seashell sinks weren't captured, oh well! I posted a before picture of our guest bath that had the same cabinets and sinks. Enjoy the pics and have a great Monday! *The before pictures were taken before we moved into the house*

New Years

Mike and I were lucky to ring in the New Year together this year. Every year since the day we met we haven't been apart at 12:00 am on New Year's. This year I was getting a little nervous. Mike was on call and had cases to do all day. He was able to come home for our ritual appetizer New Year's Eve dinner and by the time we finished eating he was called out to the hospital. It was 11:30 when I received his call saying he was on his way home. By 11:56 he was walking in the door and we were able to celebrate! Over the weekend we took Claire to the free range zoo in Alvin. She had so much fun looking at all the animals. She even fed a buffalo. Afterward we took her for her very first horse ride! For a minute, I thought we weren't ever going to get her off. She was a natural (like her mommy :) and really enjoyed it.

My New Year's Resolution: This year I will not climb Mount Everest, be fluent in Spanish, or work out every day and lose 25 lbs. I will however, make my bed every day, work out when I can, take my daughter to the park more often, be less judgmental, and love my baby and Clairebear every second of the day! :)
