Can I help you? :)

Claire was having too much fun with her doodle pro (thanks Papa and Joy! :) ) this afternoon. Mike and I were in the guest room and walked into the living room to find Claire doodling away. She gave us this look like, "um, is there something I can help you with?" She was so cute with her sunglasses on . . . what a Diva!

We went to Church this morning and Claire was very well behaved. Afterward, we went to Jason's Deli for lunch, she got a little ice cream as a reward. Then we came home and spent the day relaxing like every Sunday should!

It has been a while . . .

This is a BEFORE picture of our guest bathroom. (I posted it so that you can take note of the cabinets and seashell sink that also existed in our master bath)

BEFORE
AFTER

We have been busy at the house, but have been having a great time. We had a Superbowl party a few weeks ago that was a blast, and recently had family in town. Mikey took his vacation and we were able to spend some much needed family time, alone time, and "home makeover" time together. Our "Budget Bathroom" makeover has turned out to be a success. It really does take a village . . . we appreciate everyone's help. I thought a I had a good before picture but turns out our famous seashell sinks weren't captured, oh well! I posted a before picture of our guest bath that had the same cabinets and sinks. Enjoy the pics and have a great Monday! *The before pictures were taken before we moved into the house*

New Years

Mike and I were lucky to ring in the New Year together this year. Every year since the day we met we haven't been apart at 12:00 am on New Year's. This year I was getting a little nervous. Mike was on call and had cases to do all day. He was able to come home for our ritual appetizer New Year's Eve dinner and by the time we finished eating he was called out to the hospital. It was 11:30 when I received his call saying he was on his way home. By 11:56 he was walking in the door and we were able to celebrate! Over the weekend we took Claire to the free range zoo in Alvin. She had so much fun looking at all the animals. She even fed a buffalo. Afterward we took her for her very first horse ride! For a minute, I thought we weren't ever going to get her off. She was a natural (like her mommy :) and really enjoyed it.

My New Year's Resolution: This year I will not climb Mount Everest, be fluent in Spanish, or work out every day and lose 25 lbs. I will however, make my bed every day, work out when I can, take my daughter to the park more often, be less judgmental, and love my baby and Clairebear every second of the day! :)

* SNOW *

Here are a couple pictures of Claire experiencing snow for the first time ever! She was having so much fun taking the snow off our patio furniture and putting it back on the ground! :)

Looks like Sunday night might be my ritual blogging time! Here is a picture from my photo shoot with Claire today. We took many more but you will have to wait for your Christmas card to see those! :)

Happy Sunday!

It was nice to have Mikey home for the weekend! We were able to get a lot done and still spend time together. Friday night I went and saw Twilight with Taryn and some girls. We were running late to the theater and new we had to be there early to get a good spot in line, so we ordered food to-go and snuck it into the theater to eat while we waited in line. Good thing we ordered our tickets ahead of time the show was completely sold out. Talk about feeling like a teen again . . . no but really I had a blast, the movie was great, and no we weren't the oldest girls there! Saturday we ran some errands and did a little Christmas shopping. Aside from sitting in Baybrook Mall traffic for an hour I think we just about utilized every minute of the day. Anil came in town so we hung out with him Saturday evening, night, and late night! :) He was so cute with Clairebear! Today we did our grocery shopping and took Claire to Bass Pro shops to take her Santa picture. Poor thing was so upset. Mike said Claire has never held on to him so tight. We will attempt this again soon. Santa wasn't too friendly. We also gave Claire her first hair cut! She was so well behaved. We will have to remember that Sonic ice does the trick! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Love you
